This is Mobley, the best band I’ve seen in at least five years. You should buy their CD. You should see them live, like, yesterday.

Woman pleads guilty to attack on boyfriend

A Hot Springs woman who attacked her then 69-year-old live-in boyfriend with a two-by-four and a frying pan last year was sentenced to five years supervised probation after pleading guilty Monday.
Jalinda Marie Fu, 37, who lists an address of 107 Patriot St., pleaded guilty to a felony count of seconddegree domestic battery, amended from an original charge of first-degree battery, and was also ordered to pay $620 in court costs and fees and $579.99 in restitution to the victim, Frankie Balisle.
Fu was arrested Oct. 8, two days after the attack, and later released on $5,000 bond pending trial, which was scheduled for March 17 but postponed to allow for a negotiated change of plea.
“The plea was done at the request of the victim,” Deputy Prosecutor Joe Graham said Monday.
“He didn’t want to proceed with any trial and did not want to see her go to prison.
“He just wanted to be through with all of it,” he said.
Graham said Fu did have to pay the victim’s “out-of-pocket” expenses as restitution.
According to Garland County Sheriff’s Department reports, Balisle, who was living in Jessieville, was sleeping at his home sometime after 11 p.m. after having reportedly argued with his girlfriend, Fu, earlier in the evening.
He states he was awakened by a sharp pain to his head and when he looked up, he saw Fu was hitting him on the head and arms with a two-byfour, as he tried to block the blows.
At one point, the suspect walked out of the room only to return moments later with a frying pan and start hitting him again, causing major injuries to his head, arms, hands and back.
The victim was transported by LifeNet to Na
tional Park Medical Center where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. Responding deputies recovered the two-by-four and frying pan as evidence.
As a result of the attack, the victim reportedly suffered a closed head injury, a subdural hematoma and extensive soft tissue trauma to his head.
He required 27 staples for various injuries to his skull and also suffered an injury to his left ear, requiring it to be stitched up. He had lacerations to his right wrist and left elbow and multiple bruising to his upper chest and back and a laceration to his lip.
The victim states that after the attack, the next thing he remembered was standing on his neighbor’s steps, yelling for help. The suspect had left the scene before deputies arrived.
After interviewing the victim and gathering evidence, a warrant was issued for Fu the next day.
